That's what I figure :) stock heater unit will disappear I guess cause it won't fit with the maddat tunnel. That's east fix though

sounds reasonable to me if theyre welding both top & bottom of the overlap (which they should), its time consuming

second that, but no rivets, must be fully weld in both sides, are you planing to keep the original heater unit in?

I have the welder and all the stuff to do it.... But I am happy to let the guys do the install for peace of mind from a qualified welder who does it everyday and the fact they have done work for my engineer before ;) engineer asks who did the welding? Me .... Engineer are you a welder? No.... Not signing that off!

Plus I am time poor and hence have spare $$$ to get someone to do it properly. I was just curious to see whether it was an reasonable quote for roll in roll out

Verneer calipers, grinder w/ cutting disk, metal file and a cheap welder (or drill and rivet gun)
I'm 16 and I could probably do it.

To keep engineers happy, make sure you have 20mm overlap around the whole thing when you weld/rivet it in.
