im currently in the process of doing this too, im match porting my head to manifold, 32/36 downdraft, h75 head, double valve springs, rocker spacers, 73.5mm flat tops, shaved head, lightened flywheel, HD clutch, blanaced and 0.8mm head gasket. hoping for anything between 85-100hp, good streetable engine with a small bit of poke over factory.

P.S.

its probably got 76mm pistons as it had also extractors
and weber 32/36 carb but seller kept those. The history
of the engine is unknown apart from the hot specs.

Go a mild cam with not too much lift.
A set of flat top pistons and 1-2 mm over size bore.
Downdraft weber
Extractors
Oval port head (h89/75)
Lightened flywheel
Have everything balanced to complete it.
It all depends on how much you'd like to spend... At the end of the day the sky's the limit but each of the above mentioned should make for a nice little package. Currently I'm pretty much running that an it's a really nice mild street/ daily package...

Hi all!
Rather than go down the a14/a15 route and having to get the car re-engineered what are some reliable power options I could make to get some more as a daily driver out of my a12 what's a reasonable over bore size thatd still give me some room in the future and any recommended cam mods?

cheers
tom
