My POS sunny has always been a bit reluctant to self center. After I lowered it, I had a mate do the alignment for me. He said it was the straightest and best sunny he'd done. (He's done a few now)
But it's always been a little bit reluctant to self center. I got knocked out for a WOF for it last time. I completely pulled the suspention apart, and greased the hell out of everything. Then went back for the recheck with standard front wheels. The guy passed it, but said it was still not very good.
It's been a little "loose" feeling, but everything seems to be tight. (No rooted ball joints, or knackered bushings.
So I've tightened up the steering box a little, and now the self centering is heaps worse.
Which aspect of the geometry effects the self centering? After I turn a corner, It doesn't want to straighten up by itself.

Mostly castor

But also toe-in which is the easiest to check.

I might thread up more of the castor rods, and dial a bit more. It should be sweet to drive, but it's not really. I just fitted new front tyres too.

Try the no-thread method -- it might just do enough. It did on my ute. And only an hours work.

i'd say too much toe-out, but your mate should have checked that

Try swapping your front tyres left to right. See if it changes anything.

Brand new doesn't mean anything Bart. I've seen new tyres do this plenty of times.

Haven't seen the thread mate. Don't really go there anymore.
