Harry, a nice PB210 replica with your old 1800 cc L16 would be perfect in that car. those speakers probably only work with the cassette player, my Sunny panel van had exactly that sort of tape player in the centre console with 2 speakers in the rear trims indepedent of the factory AM radio & it's single speaker in the dash. Good find, how did you go with that Sunny coupe you were looking at, it still pops up on Gumtree.

Thats a super nice find. Yes thank you for not rearing it up :) the speakers could be factory although I've never seen any.

That is pretty sweet, too nice for track but still ripe for a L series

I've been looking around a bit for an old B210 or B310 to do up as an under 1600cc track car. Found this nice straight 120Y coupe, struck a deal and brought it home last Sunday. Only thing is, I've come to the conclusion its too nice to turn into a track car which would involve some mods that aren't really reversible like welding in lower seat mounts, a half cage and gaurd mods. This old girl has lasted 35years without some bastard like me modifying it, so I think its earned the right to stay that way.

The underbody is completely rust free, as are the body panels apart from the front edge of the bonnet, and one little bit in the left rain gutter right at the rear.

Interior is pretty bloody good. A couple of dash cracks and a small tear in the gearshift boot, and a a bit of water stain on the boot floor are the only blemishes. It has the original am radio, and a Clarion cassette player with Pioneer rear speakers in the boot floor. The guy I bought it off reckons they're a factory/dealer option - anyone know?

Runs great - no smoke and drives spot-on, just needs some work on the brakes as it has been sitting a few years. Last rego'd in 2009.

It had a respray a few years ago. Just a quick doors-closed job, but its not too bad. All four pie-tin hubcaps are there and in good condition. Has a drivers weathershield too, but I took that off.

Plan is just to replace the rear screen seal and boot rubber. New tyres, fix brakes and register it.

Then I'll keep looking for one to modify...
