Seems to me you are on right path.
From my experience the mighty a-series is almost bullet proof from the factory. I did a little experiment with my setup to see just what could be done with a stock A15 motor. I pulled the original motor from my car ( A15 balanced crank, rods, turbo cam, acl pistons, .8mm head shim) and fitted a stock as a rock A15 from a vanette (unknown kms) fitted my turbo setup, 5 speed, lightened flywheel and monster clutch setup. It has now covered about 10,000+ km and still runs really strong with no smoke, although I`m only running about 20 psi. I have been running it on a mix of 50/50 E85 and E10 from united, and have never heard it detonate. I`m thinking I`m going to stop using the water/meth. setup, as the other weekend I got into a traffic light grand prix and when I shifted into third at full boost the water/meth killed the power. Still blew the terror tree to the weeds but it didn`t smoke the bags like it used to. I`m pretty impressed with the 50/50 fuel mix and am getting pretty good economy (11LT/100km). I`m glad to hear that people are still working their dattos hard and so called noobs are getting their boost on. Go the draw thru as they are so simple and easy to work on, just make sure have a carbon seal fitted to your compressor, and you have plenty of fuel and spark to feed the beast. Cheers, G

Yeah it is a zenith stromberg CD2.
Size is 1.75. I finally got the clutch sorted, in the end I had to use 4 puck sprung AE86 clutch plate and a exeedy racing pressure plate, now she really hooks up well.

Say you had a GX exhaust manifold and you didn't like the j pipe extra bit that came with it, how would one design a nicer adaptor for it to fit a strut towered B chassis?
I'd like to play with boost at some point, and round port\ or just an A12 would be the go to piss off everyone.

Cheers,
The fuel lines are stock and I believe united E85 and E10 have an additive to help with the corrosion issues of past. I does however eat your paint though.

Not here it doesn't. But E10 is only 10% ethanol and so doesn't cause much problem. E85 is not good on the old rubber hoses. Metal lines have no problem with E85.

I`ll fill a jar with E85 and put a section of fuel hose in for a couple of weeks and see what happens.
I`ve been running this brew for about twelve months with no problems yet.

Nothing will happen. Most fuel hose is compatible with E85. Some older fuel hose will degrade but only over the long run.
