at the moment, there is a new never used gx head straight from nissan on yahoo japan.Not a head removed from an engine.
For those interested, bid on it.im sure it will fetch top dollar.If living in oz, shipping adds alot to final price

That isn't a common GX head either but a potential ultra-tall port race specific head. Feral Errol owned one once and last I heard it made its way to a gentleman in QLD.

To put it into perspective, GX heads were sold for approximately $500 AUD back in the day, brand new from Datsun/Nissan competition.

Does anyone own a Tomei casting Race head? Next best thing to AY/AZ I say.

I believe there are a handful of cylinder heads still out there that we don't even know about. I have discovered a h89 variant just late last year.

I think there was a Nismo and Tomei cylinder head. I stopped chasing all that info a couple years ago now.

and any informational links to this Tomei casting Race head?
never heard of it.ive heard of tomei prepped gx heads but not a casted one.

also if you could please share info on the variant you found.

Tomei or/ or and Nismo race heads were not offered for sale via international Datsun competition so why they would be called a 'Nismo' head I am not sure. All the really good stuff stayed local and every now and then you see them pop.

They only people who could even use these would be hardcore racers, I ran a full worked GX race head on my A12 and it was atrocious down low, lots of fun above 6000 though.

i think maybe because nismo was/is the part of nissan mostly responsible for modifying,research and improving performance etc.so any nissan racing part back then was reffered to as competition,option1 or nismo.
i.e option1 56a is literally a 56a but with nismo gearset etc
