What's the point in engineering then. Swapping Carby to efi technically needs engineering too from reading Vic roads vsi 8

Well im about to drop in my A14 S/C with efi , so how much will I be up for with engineering ?? I have quite alot of friends who are engineers in the auto industry, hopefully 1 of em are the right type of engineer

You need a vass accredited engineer listed with Vic roads. Their names on website. Have a look. Engineering can be more than 1k, some only 7_800. Also other tests such as weigh bridge and noise test cost on top, also if you need emissions testing that's another 1k or so. But once done your all legal.

Seriously , it never crossed my mind since mine has had an A14 in for 20yrs and been re-registed a few times and never challenged. Made some calls, never lucky .. 1 does semi's for kenworth, 2 do aircraft... so guys if you wana put a caterpillar or a jet engine in... I'm connected !!

emissions used to cost 2k for a test 20 years ago I remember but surely an A12 turbo efi wont need such a test?

Read vsi 8 then adr and consult a vass engineer. All the rest is crap what you hear. We are the nanny state. does any of thus requiring certification surprise you?

Choose what you want then consult engineer and go From there. July 1 2011 it ass LLC changed, so just do it once and get the papers that make it legit.

If you get Club permit then go crazy, if you ever want full reg you need to get an engineers. If you get pulled over and not approved mods you our can Loose yours and your clubs rights to permit scheme.

Way I did it and confirmed is full engineered so if I want full ref again all I need USA rwc and pay my full reg. If I sell same for new owner.

Try doing that by not doing it right...
