Ok so I finally bought a bank of carbs.
First things first, will I need to run electronic fuel pump for them? They came of a Kawasaki ZX7-R, which have inlet's of 39mm. Will be getting them re-jetted so thats okay. Main thing is will the standard fuel pump be sufficient enough to run them?

Yes, the standard fuel pump is for carburetors. Good for 125 HP.

Just remember that most bike carbs are filled by gravity alone so even a low pressure std mechanical pump may be too much for their needle valves to handle.

Cross checked psi + flow rate specs of a12 pump and carb's, their all within each other which is perfect.

CVK's are great, I think those are the flat slide type with a throttle valve. The only things these wont do is snap throttle like a flat slide but they'll still be great.
Just confirm that they don't require a return, if they do then do as D said and utilise a regulator or if you want to go even cheaper use a small fuel tap off a motor cycle, this may be a bit tricky to get right. Other alternative is to reduce the PSI of the facet pump. Can you upload some pictures?

Just bought em off Ebay, will take some detailed photo's when I get my hands on them :P Very excited, look clean and in good nick in the photo I was shown. WIll keep you guys updated, will be a nice learning curve for me! Also starting to think about manifold. Apparently DCOE manifolds can be used as a base to adapt bike carbs to...? Might as well just buy a flange and make my own one up.

Okay reason I asked was to take a look at the slides and also to see if the carbs are semi down draft or side draft. Have you got an eBay link perhaps? They are typically semi downdraft.
If you need help with the manifold just say so.

And you can use a DCOE manifold but once you buy the manifold and adapters it can get expensive. Remember the DCOE manifold can only be used with side draft carbs.

KAWASAKI ZX7R 1996 - CARBURETTORS CARBS CARBIES - WRECKING WHOLE BIKE
![]() ![]() I would like to know if their semi down draft or side draft. Majority of bike carbs I've seen in techwiki are mounted on an angle so I'm wondering if thats needed for these. Thanks clyons8 for your help so far ^_^ You can view topic.
