If i remove my heater box will i need to reconnet any of the wire or can i just tape them off and the car will run as normal? I need to cut my trans tunnel so the heater wont be going back in,

just tape them, but you need a heater or at least demister for rego and roadworthy.

you can hook up electric heaters to demist and having it set up on the factory heater switch is a neat trick.

the very base model 1200's did not have a heater.

I had a 1970 1200 wagon that from new had no heater fitted as standard.

the dash still had the slots where the controls would normally go, there where solid grommets in the firewall where the hoses would normally go, and a blanking plate under the windscreen plenum area where the fresh air intake to the heater box is.

Tape up the wires but don't tape up the water pipes :)

Has anyone modified the heater box so its just electric ie hair dryers etc?

I modified my box for a bigger tunnel. I omitted the pull vent. Just glued it up and cut a portion out to make room. I figured I could get air from my wing side vents. I still have the heater core in.
The boxes is out right now for my mods. I can shoot a photo and post in. I'll be home in two days.

Simply block off the water outlets.
That's what the factory did.
