Hi all, i have been dry fitting all of my steering components and have noticed that my idle arm is hitting the head of the bolt that goes through the crossmember, (see pic below)...

I havnt bolted everything up tightly yet as it is only a dry fit so i thought that this issue might go away once everything is nice and tight, but i just thought i would double check....

Yes crossmember is the right way but I did suspect the wrong idle arm but wasn't sure if they where different..my 1200 is a ute and the idle arm was from eBay, supposedly for a ute and my year model... It sounds like I will have to get my hands on another idle arm. Thanks for your help..

I had similar issue with my sedan, there are 2 different ones so looks like we both got wrong ones lol.
The difference I found is in the bracket mounting point and angles. The arms looked same side by side

Measure the length of the pitman arm on the steering box. Is it the same length?
Ive had to slot the hole on the mounting bracket in the past.
If they are the same length...
If you have another idler arm, disassemble it and use the old mounting bracket with the new arm and rubbers.

120y ones are similar but not the same AFAIK.

All 1200 Idler Arms are the same: ute/wagon/sedan/coupe -- even the 1994 Sunny Truck. 48530-H1000 RHD

120Y and 1200 looks very close but have different part numbers.

H1000
