It looks like I'll be keeping this ute. Have had it for sale fo ra while but no luck, and its proving to be a handy little work ute so I think I'm going to stick with it. First thing first is fix all the rust. Will most likely be getting the panel beaters to do it all, I dont have the time to do it. First thing I want to get repaired is the rust in the firewall. Are there repair sections available for this? I think it goes through the firewall and also up into the beaver panel or whatever its called, where the vents drain etc. It was full of leaves.

I also have a spare A12 and just bought an AMR500 I might be starting a build thread on it in a little while.

Started some rust repairs today, only had time to do out the old sealer down the passengers side gutter and windscreen pillar seam. Had started to go there and all the sealer had cracked out. Going to give it a sand blast in there with a bit of rust converter and etch then re seal. What's the best sikaflex to use here to reseal? I've used the white assembly adhesive before but it is super thick and sticky and probable not going to be manageable enough. So I'm thinking the common black adhesive maybe?

no finished photos, soon to come. hopefully do drivers side door next, when tahts done, it will be getting a full rebuild mew seals, door cards etc and hopefully spray the inside of the door in new colour. was thinking of the hakotora grey, not sure on the coulour code though.

plan is get the car to a stage where I can do a closed door spray job and the whole car be will finished, taht way I can more or less keep it as a daily.

Deiced to start some repairs, hopefully do most of it myself. This rust doesnt look too good, might have to unpick the support panel under the front guard, too see if any futher damage has been done. Thats the only way you can see damage from the water drain isnt it?
