you go on and on and ON about the injustice........um the injustice i see is that MY husband and father of my children is putting HIS life on the line time and time again ensuring YOU are able to live in a country that is not under constant threat of terrorist bombing multiple times a day, that is is kept free, allowing YOU time to work on your lil car hobby. I dont see YOU putting YOUR life on the line for anyone let alone the country.

I find solace in that I am PROUD to be a Defence Wife. I personally know that struggles faced by having a husband and father away at war, whilst us wives are left to hold the fort, to be the Pillar of strength need for our children who are without their father - whom as stated is off keeping YOUR ASS safe - its excruciatingly hard to watch the kids daily getting upset at not being able to kiss their father goodnight or run and give him a hug as he walks in the door after a long day at work.

Im very Proud of my 11yr old daughter, who was chosen by our local RSL to be an ANZAC Youth Ambassador out doing her part to ensure todays young ppl continue to HONOUR and RESPECT our ANZACS......both Past AND Present.

You speak of those whom are out to get hammered on ANZAC Day, yes there unfortunately are people - possibly yourself included given your BS rants - but for the most part people are out to to just as what ANZAC Day is about - Honour those that fell.

I saw on the news about our deployed troops that get to have a drink on Anzac Day..........the truth of it all is that of those deployed troops only around 10% are actually allowed alcohol...........Lukes unit whilst he's currently deployed (protecting your ass) are not allowed even 1 drop of alcohol.

I cannot believe the rudeness and lack of appreciation you have for the ADF. I pity you guys i really do. you'll never fully grasp the sacrifices still being made to this day for your benefit.

I had written up a post earlier today after reading all that was written by everyone, but decided NOT to hit the "post" button as i was writing with pure anger and outrage and realized that is not who i am its not showing RESPECT for what this thread was about.

i have asked for this thread to be locked ASAP as this is all getting into a massive slander campaign aimed at each other. this site is not about that either....again its called respect for everyone else.

I am not saying im perfect and im free of any wrong doing..i too have just launched a personal attack at people who previously i had to issues with at all.

We are all keyboard warriors.

i know im going to come under attack myself im fine with that as i will not be replying to these attacks yet to come. I am better than that. I have replied to this thread inthe manner i did purely as as soon as everyone started the personal attacks on each other which then snowballed into others being insulted indirectly........myself and my children and MY ADF Family.

I ask that we all refrain from further comment and just go back to what this thread was meant for APPRECIATION, RESPECT AND HONOUR for our ANZACS.

We had a good service here, young Matt Foley passed away a few weeks ago though so we held a special service for him, he was one of the coastwatchers up here, he was still going strong when I was going to boarding school. I think he was 93 or so.

A heap of people turned up! I spent the early morning cooking 200 hot breakfasts for the crowd whilst local and of course Aussie and NZ people all sat around to enjoy their gunfire breakfast.

A great time indeed, but the comments in this thread really put you as small men against the greats that fought hard over here. Rabaul was a viscous battle zone.
