#1 Distributer issues A15
Datsunbloke Posted on: 2013/5/9 7:50
Got an A15 with what looks like a locked dizzy, it has no vacuum lines going to it.
Timing was out a bit, adjusted it to and it still runs on when key is off. I can change the timing so it doesnt do this but when reving it hard it pings and runs like ass.

Thinking an electronic dizzy may be the hot tip, was just looking on ebay and this one is $120, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DATSUN-DIS ... ories&hash=item3a80ab7455

Looks the same as the others that are around $250 - $300.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

Cheers

That is a good price and an okay unit, manufactured in china, I ran one on my old a10 and it was a good unit. Well priced compared to what is available and other prices.

If it suits your budget go for it.

Hey Datsun Bloke. I have the same run on issues. Did the elctronic dizzy fix the problem for you?

any normal distributor will fix that problem. Going back to an original stock distributor or newer electronic distributor with a working advance mechanism is the solution I'd choose.
