Hi guys I need so help can you maybe tell me what gearbox can I fit to my 1400 turbo setup because the std box ain't cutting it?? Is there maybe a straight bolt gearbox that will be stronger??

Please if somebody can help me I would appricate it!!!!!!

Hey Gtr31.
If you have to get a gearbox to work with the turbo 1400 i would suggest 60l.Its a four speed gearbox I've put 1 in my 1200.I dont know how popular they are where ya at but i sorced 1 but took me awhile.Then 63a is a 5 speed but rare as!
Here's some pics of mines not a straigth bolt in.I useed my stock 1200 56l crossmember with a 1/4 inch plate and drilled some mounting holes,no need to change drivedhaft also.

Hi to all it has been a while but here is update.
Replaced rear diff.
Overhaul the fuel tank.
And added a proper surge tank and pumps to keep it full
Larger inter-cooler
New mag wheels.
Upgrade the interior
Upgrade the front brakes
Replaced the front steering rack.
Upgrade exhaust to a 76 mm side pipe.

The 60-series is stock on a 1400. If you are using the 1200 gearbox, switch to the 1400 transmission as it is quite a bit stronger.

If you are already using the 1400 gearbox, the only stronger bolt-in is the 63A 5-speed from A14-powered B210. They are common in USA as every 1976.5 to 1978 B210 Coupe came with one.

Or you can fit the Toyota T50 gearbox, bolt-in with the right adapter.

Toyota W50 can be modified to fit.
Or Nissan 6-speed.
