![]() any and all tips on building the 1200 would be very much appreciated guys,, this is my first 1200 and i hope it turns out a beauty after m done with it,, i have owned this for almost 2 years now,, it was in another city for about 11 months while i had other commitments,, at last wen i had time for this ute, i saw that 75% of her body was all rusted, me nd my bother found a neat shell and changed it, drove it back home and den some datsun devil came over me nd made me strip the ute down to the chassis,, well, lost most of the parts after dat,,, long story short,, i have been building dis for over a year now,, with very little panel beating knowledge, m taking it real slow ,,

hey brothers, last night my 120y quit on me in the middle of the city ,,, she just died,, when i checked, i saw that the fuel was empty and the battery was flat,, its like wen i pressed the accelerator pedal den the lights were bright, as soon as i let go, dim again,, cud dis be a problem with the alternator ??

BUSTED !!! lol ,, yep, it was a square faced dato when i bought it ,, i changed it to round face after my brother decided to take the car for a swim in the drain,, lol ,, will upload pictures of the conversion soon,,

When this type of problem occurs, twist the battery cables. It the electrics start working, then it is a cable cleaning problem. See Battery Maintenance for more details. If the battery was truly flat, the cause of it going flat might be the alternator or regulator or even just the ALT fuse. Test to find out which component needs to be replaced. Does anyone know where to find a Datsun or Nissan dealer in Fiji. We are here on honeymoon, keen to stop by and see what sort of parts they have available here?
