1200 Sedan racecar

I've decided to sell my 1200 sedan racecar that I have used for hillclimbs and sprints in the past. I haven't done anything with it in the last 3 years other than warm it up a few times and blow the cobwebs out. I was planning on getting back into the sport but just can't see it happening in the next few years.
The Car: 1972 Dastun 1200 4 door sedan. CAMS logbooked, CAMS registered rollcage. A15 engine, bored to 79mm 45mm EFI hardware throttle bodies Haltech E6X engine management, waste spark ignition 30L fuel cell, 2L surge tank in boot H165 ute diff. Locked 4.8 vanette centre (comes with spare locked 3.9 centre) Toyota T50 5-speed gearbox with A series bellhousing adaption (comes with spare T50) Sunny front struts with early commodore disc brakes. Coil over sleeves. 300zx inserts. Fitted with fibreglass flares. Strut brace. 13x7 superlite wheels fitted with Toyo R888's (pretty old but would be alright for a trackday). Also a set of 13x7 Rebels that have even older yokohama semi slicks on them. Spare H89 head + some other bits and pieces. It needs a few things done to get it up and going again. I rolled it (very gently) last outing at Winton and there was some panel damage above the windscreen. This has been repaired and primed but still needs a coat of paint. Also the LHR quarter is also in need of some topcoat. Will require a new windcreen as the one I have broke when I removed it. There is also a coolant leak into #3 cylinder. Whether it's the head gasket or something else i'm not sure, but the engine still turns over fine. Car has very little rust in it. ![]() ![]() Video of Fairbairn park hillclimb Asking $4500 for the car. It is a very quick machine as some members here can attest. Was really reliable for me and took me to the 2009 NSW and Australian supersprint championship #1 spot. It also still holds records for hillclimbs at Bathurst and Queanbeyan. I would rather see someone using and enjoying it than have it sitting here doing nothing. I also have a car trailer for sale that I used to transport the Datto. $1700, will not sell seperately unless the Datto sells first. Contact me on 0407 451986

It is a very quick car, i was at winton last time it was out and it smashed my old rotary powered ute with ease as well as a lot of others! its sad to see you stepping away from it aiden i hope you dont regret the decision good luck, not that you will need it at that price

Yeah I hope I won't regret it, but Winton was the last time I drove it.
I've been more focused on enduro racing for the last few years and can't see myself hitting the tarmac again anytime soon.

Man I wish I had the money for this!
Have you got some photos of the damages?

I'll get some more photos this weekend, there's not much to see, just a grey patch of primer on the front of the roof. It was a very gentle rollover, didn't even crack the windscreen. I continued racing for the day and got second in the under 2L class, they don't make 'em like they used to
