Ah, then the A13 head had 30mm ovals. 32mm ovals are medium size, while regular A14/A15 ports are 34mm.

H72 heads have 34mm ovals.

Agreed, it is definitely not a GX. GX has monster ports (36mm) and water passages for the intake manifold.

It could be an A14/A15 head. The A14/A15 EFI heads had 32mm ports, but with a unique notch at the top. The 1982 A14/A15 engine also had 32mm ports, but with water passages.

No casting numbers like '104' or 'H72' generally indicate an early head. So maybe it's an H62 that someone ported out to 32mm. Or maybe it's a 1400 Cherry/140A or Vanette cylinder head.

Worth about $50 in good condition as a utilitarian replacement. The open chamber is a downside, as power drops and it is prone to pinging. We use H72 here in USA because there are practically no closed chamber heads here, except for the odd competition or imported unit. But in AUS, go for a common closed chamber head like the H89 which makes more power.

i have no idea unfamilia. and DD, to increase performance, plane the crap out of it and recess pistons to allow for valves. it has potential to be a high compression head.
