what is the easiest way to remove and refit a cam in an l series motor and will the cam pull out with the motor still in the car

in a l series? yes easy to do mate. do it in the car. a series is a differnt story. Once youve got the rocker cover off its quite straight forward. Ive done it before but but cant recollect everything to give a step by step.

Exactly, super easy. Just start pulling stuff apart and you'll work it out. Just dont drop the timing chain mate, that will screw you up. When I took the head off my bluebird I just made up a wedge using a piece of wood, cant remember where I found the template but 12 seconds of google-ing came up with this info.

Or buy the proper thing from Amazon
