Like I said cut the guards more and pull them forward.
Dont go crazy as you dont want to rip the castor rod mounts off the chasis rail.
You could try non adjustable rods to compare maybe. I got a set here.

yep,unfamilia is right. With tyres that diameter you need to cut the front corner of the wheelarch opening to allow any decent amount of castor to be run.

I was talking to the guy I got the car off tonight on the book of faces. (He lives three hours south of me)
He's fixed his problem!
Reckons, that his problem was that the steering column was loose where it bolted up to the underside of the dashboard. I have experienced cars that drive awful when the steering column and box aren't properly aligned.
He also mentioned that he'd probably had that unbolted on my car when he changed the pedal box when he did the auto to manual conversion.
Man, I really really really hope that is all that's wrong with my car!
