nizmo, the easiest way you may find to get a good diff with disks is to ask the young guy at shannons insurance. he has a friend who rallies/ed a 1200 ute. he said that the ute is going really cheap, the catch is it has been rolled afew times (the bodies stuffed), the diff is modded and shortened pintara diff with disk brakes, so if your lucky you might be able to just get the diff. if not it might be perfect cheap pars donor. ps .how did the datto meet go? i saw a xb ute strewn along the highway near claremont on saturday, hope it wasnt you ,it looked nastie

Sounds like a nice setup on that diff but Im bloody cash strapped at the moment. Got the rego for the ute coming up too. You always find things you want when you have no money!

Datto meet was good. About 12 of us. 3 of my mates came along which was good. Its only very basic at the moment, it was THE first meeting of the new club after all. Plenty of knowledge and experience going about but didnt chat much to the other people, we turned up an hour late!

Nah the XB lives! It wasnt me, hehe. Did have a bit of fun at the lights on the Brooker on the way out there tho.

Lined up next to my mates 200B SSS (left lane), the big XB (middle), and my other mates Corolla (right lane, not dragging), this was at the fountain roundabout rear the aquatics centre. My mate in the SSS got the jump as I just went wheel spinning all the way down the road (already in front). Snatched second and continued to spin the treads and gave him a strong whooping (surprise, surprise).

When we got back into town my mate in the SSS tryed again but on Elizabeth St can you believe it! He was in the left lane with parked cars ahead of him, I was in the right with a Datto 1600 behind me. The SSS gave it a go, but I didnt even have to get out of first to beat him. This bloody 1600 even beat my mate, very cheeky if not dangerous move.

Got to the next set of lights with the 1600 behind me. He started to rev it while sitting behind me at the red light. Went green so I gave it some and yet again whooped some ass. It was an orange 1600, lowered, rollcage, big exhaust etc. Seen it getting around?

Next meeting is October 6th, Bridgewater Police Boys Club, coming along? To my surprise there were no bogans or morons present, that I could see anyway.

Simon
