All depends. Show race or street. Imho yours is well done but not to my tastes so I wouldn't class it as best. Sorry to oversrated in my view but its show standard.

That 13b rotor coupe was close but I think they shoupd be driven not shown.

Are you talking showcar or street legal??

what aspect's are you talking as well stock engine and drieline or full swap with sr20det for example

I got a mate with his 1200 ute in the build and will easily be a top 10 summernats best in show car.. not many people know about the car and hopefully wants to debut it at next years motor-ex if he gets accepted

House of kolor paint seduce pearl red with underbody paint to match, all custom fab work to sr20det making 280kw currently with crap tune, shaved everything, custom hardcover, all wiring hidden, 4 link, mini tubbed, all stainless setup, all proflow fittings for everything including fuel lines and brake lines in black anodized fittings and braided Teflon lines, all leather interior (black red stitch), with custom certre console and dash painted same color as car, simmons wheels resized with semi slick advan tires, borgwarner diff shortned, and the list goes on...

so it depends on what you want the car to be his will be street legal engineered but it's primarily a show car...

Or for an everyday car i'd like to think my ute is getting there nicely but it comes down to everyones preference i have almost $30k into my ute from a ground up build with just an A15 setup... i have mates and girls that love my ute then others that say they would change alot of things...

But in saying that your 1200 sedan is unique and completely different to others, its a great car, i personally love it but the next bloke may turn and say its not original...

there is no one way to judge the best 1200 as everyone has their own opinions and that is what makes us all different car enthusiasts, i like one thing you like another and the next blokes something completely different but we all love the same car in our own rights

too many to name... im always impressed at datsun day how great some of the SHOW cars are there... plus everyones tastes are different.
I think to be considered it has to still be a datsun body, and datsun/nissan motor which doesnt go with what ive done with my ute (not that i would consider it the best by far), but its an important criteria if your considering a car to be the best of a particular brand.
