With the new setup I have the ability to run compound or sequential turbo's for the time being It will run sequentially then after I tune I will see how the compounding goes but im really happy with how it's coming a long....

I have ordered external gates just waiting for them ,But your 100% right otherwise the small will be a restriction to the larger and there will be spooling overboost issues ,I also need to run external so I can point the compressor in the right direction, I did think about machining the internal gates but I still wont get enough flow out of them......Sweet will be great to see your setup

Might need to weld up the external gate so the turbo doesnt over boost and put external gate in between the turbos which feeds the larger turbo. Should have my setup running by end of this month.

My first setup I had trouble with the clutch holding on boost around 3500-4000rpm it would slip, I was always going to keep pushing the setup so I decided to remove the weakest link the gearbox and clutch so the decision to fit a jatco auto was made. Testing my new setup Boost creep cause massive boost spikes, so a larger Turbo was needed , which means a larger stall Is needed to get up onto boost several phone calls later and it appears it's difficult to get a stall as the A series runs the smallest jatco convertor and modifying the veins cause percentage loss and inefficiency which generates heat and loss of Hp it can be done correctly with a cost upto $1000 so The only way I could think my way around it was running a compound setup so this is the new direction

OK so Im now going backwards in one respect I haven't been able to finish tuning as it appears the turbo is now a restriction as Im suffering massive boost creep with a 6 psi wastegate actuator im making 15+ psi and have to lift off the pedal.
So Im going to hunt up another turbo a few sizes up.... Cheers anth You can view topic.
