Hey Davo, how have you been? It's been a long time since we chatted in email about our 1200's. I think it's been like 4 or 5 years since we started corresponding through email (
errrnstak@hotmail.com). Anyway, when we were first talking you were fixing up and painting that black coupe that you got rid of. How many do YOU have now? I've been in and out of a few 1200's since then. Right now I've only got one that's in really nice shape that I drive everyday. Of course the same engine and hard to find parts have filtered their way down from all the other 1200's I've owned to this one. I bought this one last March for $2000 and it had 68,000 original miles, now it has 99,000, so you could say I drive it quite a bit. Luckily I've got another car that has taken some of the pressure off the Datsun lately, and it's almost equally as fun to drive! It's a 1969 Buick Sport Wagon; a classic full size 9 passenger station wagon that weighs 4,865 pounds, quite the opposite of the little 1200! What makes it fun to drive is that it is a total sleeper! It has a 455 cubic inch (7.5 liter?) engine that's got over 400 horsepower. Everybody at the drag strip loves it (unless they get beat by it) cause it still runs 14.5 @ 94mph. This Friday I'm going to get it to run 13's with a new aluminum intake, stripped out back seats, advanced timing, race gas, and slicks. Can't wait!
