Pretty sure in most states you need to have at least the demister working. I believe some people have hooked up 12v hairdryers or blower motors to achieve this, but might as well get the heater going I reckon.

Thanks Supafatto! also another question do I need me heater to work for roadworthy? I've been thinking on getting it hooked up because the previous owner didn't have it connected. and I'm not too sure of the QLD rules regarding heaters for RWC's

Thanks for the comments fellas! MrBarista I'll hit you up if I do need some help, the only thing is that I live in Gordonvale soo it's a bit of a trek if I need an actual hand being that no one else in the family knows that much about cars hahaha

ive got a 1200 gregorys manual sitting around here pm me about it. can post.
seeing i dont have a 1200 anymore or will likely have one in the foreseeable future

thanks. The bloke who I bought it off of gave me a 120y manual and said the cars are basically the same. I assume he means the engines because the 120y has an a12 and so does mine but I'll definitely pick up a 1200 manual.
