You are not factoring fuel to the pump theres no nonsense & no sense in trying without that data and its major BS comparison otherwise. The energy spent by making trucks and running them is more wasteful than our already established electricity infrastructure.
EVs come in many different flavours while my favorite is the Leaf atm for what it is I would prefer a merc prototypes using the Zebra salt batteries which are still possible. EVs make sense for those driving less than 60-70 kms per day which is most of the population.

Actually its not funny or a lol moment for an industry that should be eliminated. To have our precious water poisoned by coal seam gas industry and support the Govs decision of a 1500aud fine is retarded.
Im an avid supporter of non lithium, copper and zinc batteries hence the reference to Zebra.
Salt is one of the most abundant things on this planet and just because it makes the battery a little heavier than lithium based ones its not to be underestimated if engineered properly in larger SUV and up vehicles. My other interests are thermal solar power, vertigro Algae and Midori Mushi based ethanol, I dont believe in what the Corporations have in stall for us and what they force our Govs to feed us with.
To solve our problems with the same type of thinking that created these problems will always end up with failure. Fossil juice is finite its time for a change whether we like it or not.
