Yeah, no cutting of metal was required.
It does sound pretty good.
I was goign to do the MDF thing too. But decided taht I am lazy

I think that I will perhaps some day at least strngthen the trim.
I also removed the ash trays that were there. Well more to the point just didn't cut out holes for them. I think it loks cleaner anyway.
