I datsun 120y coupe racer I know with a highly tuned sr20de goes through many 71c boxes and going to RB25.
There are plenty of people using the CA18DET with good numbers and seems the only avenue is the VGXX or RB2X with cut shut ca18 bell section. Im not clued up with the ratios but personally would prefer a WC T5 from an S-10 which is just like the stumpy in size and weight but as strong as the Nissan box alternatives.

Put a reco r30 box in and seems good, just having problems with my new exceady clutch slipping :( waiting to find out what clutch supplier is going to do as it won't hold anywhere near the power levels they were told 😡

Giving a HP figure for a clutch is just guessing on the part of the supplier. Clutches are rated for torque. 300 HP at 7000 rpm is a lot less torque than 300 HP at 5000 rpm.
