Anyone know where to get the heater pipe that runs from the heater cock valve to the heater core itself?

Rare part but sometimes available on ebay. Try contacting Nissan and see if they can order one from Japan or try calling a Nissan dealer in the USA

Actually, That's not the one for my heater valve.

both ends are 12mm on my one,

I could however change over to a newer valve ... it's just riveted on.

Yours is not a factory heater valve.

Is it as Australian-assembled 1200? Maybe locally sourced heater parts were used.
