Hey guys been outta the datto scene for a while and I was hoping someone could help me out with a brake conversion I was half way through. Now I relise the disks im trying to use are not preferred but anything has to be better than drums and im not racing it. I managed afew years ago to bolt on bluebird rear disks onto 1000 front stub axels without having to make any adapters or nothing. From memory nissan didn't change drum stud pattern and u pretty much treat the front drums like a rear disk conversion. I think all I had to do was drill the 1 hole out. Would therr be any reason why I couldn't use the calipers as front calipers? If this works are r31 rear disks any better and would they also just bolt on pretty much like the bluebirds ones did? Heres an old pic of what I did but I cant remember how I did it but I didn't drill, weld or make any adapters to fit this

Hey Matt

I couldn't find the photo of your brakes. I think the only issue with using rear calipers is the size of the piston is usually smaller giving a stiff pedal. Also some rear calipers have handbrakes in them.

Do you still have the ute?

Look up Sigma brake conversion, the GE Sigma provides all the bits and it is pretty easy.
