You are talking about racing? The goal is to win, not to have a slower car.with more "soul". You can always put the motor back to original when done racing.

lol ddgonzal u didnt get my point but i do agree people have different tastes and preferences. Some cringe at the very thought of modifing cars, others change everything. Each to their own.
Also, different people do get into racing for different reasons.others simply just to enjoy. If the only main objective to an individual is to win then whoever has more money wins.Period.
I personally wouldn't get any joy beating newer cars with a 2jzgte in my 1200 on track.I would feel much more satisfied beating newer cars running an a-series in a 1200.But thats my preference.i.e sikynes and bennys a-series powered coupes.
How many "winning" race cars get put back to original condition?? Im sure a majority of the "winning" races cars dont get put back to stock.Their chasis are already altered by seam welds, reinforcements etc etc Alot of money goes into making those proper balanced race cars at the front of the pack.Unless ur racing a very rare car i dont see the point after spending soo much money in the development of a "winning" race car just to bring it back to original condition.Better to just buy another stock model.

I got your point.
Who said anything about swapping engines? The 16-valve head bolts right onto the A-series engine and makes more power.
