It certainly is. Isn't it interesting how a little misinformation can go a long way.

The A14gx seems to have only ever existed in Perth! Makes it super extra rare now.

It doesn't matter a #OOPS# who was around first. If you want to label a GX engine as a GX engine then that's fine. But don't be surprised when you come across some facts when you try and sell it off for something that it isn't.

That engine is an A-Series with GX Hitachis on it. Look at the distributor location, what does this tell you? Look at the rocker cover, what does this tell you? The carburettors are round tops with not automatic choke or EGR gear, what does that tell you?

I understand your frustrations but not being able to accept and understand fact isn't the problem of the forum, that is your problem. The A14T is not worth $1800 because it isn't a GX. That's the simple truth and you know this. Could you imagine how disappointed someone would be if they paid $1800 for a A14GX motor which had no GX Exhaust, no GX Pistons, no GX Cylinder head?

Or does this make all standard A14 exhaust manifolds GX manifolds? Are all of my H75 cylinder heads now GX heads? I hope you can see the contradictions.

Please take the time to peruse the Technical Library which has been so carefully compiled by our one moderator. Although it may contain some discrepancies it is absolutely the closest most accurate source of compiled Datsun A-Series literature and documentation.

A14t carbs are differnt than other 38mm hitachi carbs, easy way to tell if its an a14t, or an a14 with gx carbs. But there was never an a14gx motor. Altho there was b210gx's, they did not have a14gx motors. Still better than no motor at all.
But it looks like those are 1200gx carbs. On a regular a14
