Sorry fellas I have to go off topic and agree with tens & twenties about the typing. This thread doesnt have much to do with me but I still enjoy reading the posts, but its pretty hard to read sometimes.

hwy yo hows it...i think i saw u in town on the friday night...anyway yea that will b a sweet as paint 2 get but im gonna get mine a bit darker blue when i find a place...where is this place on onehunga? hook me up and im straight round there 2 have a look! but im not sure on anywhere that does flares but i'll look coz i might wanna move up on some tyre sizes...i jus got my A15 off 1 of my mates...he jus bought this wasted as vanette off this dude 4 a box of beers and $50 i think! well something like that...

yea well and to those who are wondering why they dont wanna paint my car...i have no idea...i mean the fact that its too old has nothing 2 do with it and there is hardly any rust...ive already pulled it apart and had a good look...

na but there is only a few little bumps and dings on my front panels the rest is all good so i dunno what they are on about so im still looking...

ive got a couple of those plates sitting around from the 120y motor that was in my car, ill make up a technical drawring of them and post it on the site cause i think this would help a lot of people, the motor has to be moved back as in the engine mounts on the crossmember will be further forward than the ones on the block, but ill make up the diagram late tonight or tommorow for you guys, that should save you a lot of mucking around lineing it up

Maybe his car is more rust that metal ?? (just kidding) I'm interested too why they'd say that. If it needs heaps of body work, maybe they figured the paint would cost more than the car is worth. It's not up to them to decide.

Although most places know, that if you go to paint an old car. You end up with 2 times as much work as you first expected. It's difficult to quote on it, and not as profitable as respraying small dings on new cars.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would they say your car is too old to paint?
Are they saying its not worth spending the money on, or is there a more technical reason?

yeah my panels are ok but my paint is a bit bung. not sure what color im gunna paint it up prob. white or black with a nice as blue or purple pearl. you should just get your bumpers rechromed at this place in onehunga, they do mint as jobs. i think its about $185 + GST for them to get straightend and rechromed. thats front and back.
do you know anywhere that flares gaurds? coz my 15's kept rubbing and ####ing up my tyres.
also where did ya get your A15 from?
the t+e or a wreckers?
how much ya pay for it? coz im looking for one aye.
