Hey guys I recently was given a gx head now I went and got it serviced but I want to give the bloke some cash for it just wondering what there worth? Also while I was there the engine rebuilder was also saying that it may be a rarer version or not a gx head as he had a gx head laying around and all the ports including the exhaust ones on mine were much larger like 3-4mm but he said it didnt look like they had been machined before I will post up some pics later on any help would be much appreciated cheers Andrew

According to the wiki. GX intake ports should be 30mm x 35mm.

I think if you him $150, that would be low.

If you gave him $200, that'd be about right.

If you gave him $250, that'd be a good price.

Depends on what it was like to begin with, only one picture there. Who did the work? Looks like a good job.

Ok then well I gave him $250 but he also gave me an oval port manifold and carby aswell so yehh thought it was a fair price considering the head was quite rough when I got it yeh a bloke that is a local around my area he charged me $260 to service it but thought that wasn't to bad considering the work that went into it to get it looking nice and new again Quote:
