Hello
Does anybody have a friend with an S2000 or something, so we can figure it out about the tailshaft rotation? I have been reviewing the Portuguese Law and they ask for a certificate of the car dealer regarding the apliance of the engine to the car. No way never the NISSAN guys will issue a certificate a HONDA engine. I think that they will never do it even for a CA18DET. Kind of Stupid. And the taxes are something between US$2500 to US$8000. Brutally expensive. Beter to buy a 200SX it is Cheaper. Ricardo.

Hello
I have been informed that a lot of S2000 (much more than 200SX) have been wrecked over the last 2 years, so geting a "power plant" of one of these cars will be quite easy, since it is possible to buy (I think) all the wrecked car for less than US$1000. Main problem is to get the car street legal. Maybe better to switch and tell nobody or maybe better to forget it. Ricardo

Honda engines have rotated backwards since the dawn of time, but when they designed the engine for the S2000, they changed that. The S2000 engine rotates clockwise just like everything else. Also, the engines in the new Civic and Integra/RSX spin clockwise, too. Honda is slowly changing over to having all of their engines spin "correctly".

speaking of honda, why not just go the whole hog and put an NSX V6 in one? being an older car they would cost alot less. your only worry would be finding a gearbox to sling off the back of the engine.
what about the suzuki swift GTI 1.3l twicam? it loves a rev and puts out good power for its size. it would be a fairly easy conversion I guess. and I'm pretty sure there is a north / south suzuki gearbox that fits it.

what the Honda NSX engine you mean??
you could put it on the back seat of your 1600 and use the original 6 speed transaxle! run brembo brakes all round and have it sitting on ultra light spoon sports 6lb wheels.. ah the luxury of dreaming.. You can view topic.
