Stop surfing porn.

Personally I like them but prefer the freedoms of not being tied to I tunes with my android devices now.

+ 1 for android device. That's what I use 90% of the time now.

For a traditional laptop, I like HP better screen and design than most. For a PC laptop, just buy anything on sale with 6GB ram, it will be fast. Or get a Mac Airbook, it can run Windows 8.1.

Ive worked on Apple Macs since the late 1980s! shows how old I am
however the biggest problem is software when you go beyond surfing
word processing and basic pc stuff you have to buy Apple soft.

With Robolinux
http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Linux- ... bolinux-Xfce-103540.shtml

you can buy a good second hand laptop with 8gb, i5 and SSD hdd and it will be
light years faster than Apple and Windows. Very easy to install & run for a novice.

FreeBSD is also insanely good and depending on the Toshiba you got now
you can just try and install the above alternatives with a new SSD HDD
and you will see why linux and FreeBSD are awesome and free.

Software is all free and way more 3d, cad and all kinds of soft available
that you can choose by just a click, downloads and installs ready to use

Linux and FreeBSD are so free that Android uses Linux and sneaky Apple used FreeBSD
modified it and now try to sell the OS to peeps with PCs - very sneaky.

You have choices and for me I would never go Apple or Windows ever again.

Have had a MacBook Pro for 4 years now and never had a single problem. I love it - it just works every time
Before that I had nothing but trouble with Viruses and corrupt updates with several MS based laptops
I only use it for all the basic stuff and don't need to go outside its parameters or apps -
If you need to program stuff then Apple is not for you.
Just my 2 cents
