Thank you for pictures of wiring.
But alternator have damaged the rectifier. I´m trying to find some oe numbers or something like that.
Anyone have type of alternator for A12 1979? (I know LR-160, but which type?)

Diode pack
* Nissan 23230-W7101 or 23230-P2501 DIODE ASSEMBLY
* AIRTEX 2D3071

LR-160 is the type. It was the optional unit, and the LR-150 (50 Amp) unit was standard on the B310 depending on the market (North America used LR-150, most other countries used LT-150).

To replace the rectifier (diode pack), heavy-duty soldering is involved. It's much easier to swap the entire alternator for a good used or rebuilt unit.

OK LT-135 uses a very different diode bridge from the LR-160. LT-135 is the original Datsun alternator which was used in the Datsun 1200 from 1970 on.

LT-135 uses external regulator, 114 mm diameter body
LR-160 uses internal regulator, 129 mm diameter body

LT-135 left, LR-160 2nd

B310 is not rated for towing.

Generally speaking, for safety the trailer should not exceed the weight of the car. Now the B310 load capacity is listed on the door pillar and is probably around 200-300 kg. If you fit stronger rear tires and stiffer rear springs and a solid towing hitch, I imagine a trailer of 900 kg could be pulled safely on level roads. On hills you risk burning out the clutch. Make sure the car is level with the trailer attached (meaning stiffer springs or air shocks). When going up and down hills, shift to lower gear and go slower. Lower gears mean more torque. Slower car means easier braking. Ensure more weight is on the trailer tongue (trailer must tip forward if not attached to car). The hitch/towbar is the most important thing and the installer will have more instructions.

Same as I
I have another problem. Datsun have oil consumption 3litres/100km! I have no idea, where the oil goes. White smoke from exhaust just half a minute after start, and no oil leaks at engine. Now i have 3 litres of 15w40 castrol in engine.

Hi guys, let me reopen this topic, because my old friend is BACK!

When I change the work, I sold Datsun to my friend, who worked at car with me. He had a huge old house, with many plans, but as you know. Reality is different, then you wish.

After 5 years, he must sold the house and also all cars. When he mentioned it, I want my car back.
So I hitched up the trailer and go for him.
It was not a nice view...

So we pump up the tires, and load him to trailer

And finally he is in my garage now. We found some rust, so now I took out interior, engine is also out (complete rebuild), and now I´m looking for new front steering joints. I found some in Australia, but seller don´t want to ship it into Czech republic.

Is there anybody who find some DIY solution for steering joints? Idler arms looks good, But rest is not OK.
