So after neglecting the floppy upper door hinge for the last 10 years, I decided to fix it. The issue was the plastic bushes that the pin rides in had basically disintegrated to the point that 180 degrees of the conical material was missing. My fix was 1.20 MM thick aluminum sheet cut into a 10mm wide strip and formed it around the pin. I stuffed the aluminum into the hinge and then reamed it out with a file till the pin would slide in. I reused the bushes, despite thier condition because they act as washers to properly space the hinge halves. My hillbilly bushing took out the radial play in the hinge, I bolted everything back together and adjusted the door. The door now shuts properly and I no longer have to pull the door shut slowly so that the door striker lifts it up.

Aprilia RS 125 Motorcycles use a split nylon bush in the clutch lever pivot bolt that also works for fixing hinge pin slop, Just spread the bush around the pin and install without having to remove the hinge unit.
A few other Bikes will also have similar bushes some even bronze (Some Honda's and Kawasaki's)
