1200rallycar i agree what you are saying about the corollas being cool to drive but the one I was talking about as an old RWD
( sorry but i forget which kind and model!)
But as for putting a corlla engine in a 1200 that is not what I meant and to do it would be preety straight forward as the corollas are like A12's some RWD and some FWD!
But personally I wouldn't bother either as it is no better than an A series engine of the same capacity!

How much boost has anyone ran on a standard or fairly standard A series engine safely? I love my Dellorto's but I think I just may save up and get a EFI computer and throw my EFI setup on my A-15 and then throw my Subaru turbo and a junkyard intercooler on after I get it running good. I'm using Federal Mogul standard pistons and stock 8.5:1 compression, how much boost can it hold?!

I wrote before that we had run 32 psi in a 1200 with an old A12! and with A15's!
( I wouldn't do this all the time and not for long either!)

Regarding how much boost it will hold?
Only one way to find out!
( like us and many before us! Trial and error!)

Sorry 1200rally car the other bloke was talking about a corolla FWD so disregard what I was saying!
(but I am sure their is a RWD box that will fit it ! celica or atleast a bellhousing has been made to fit the celica box to this engine!)

Just posted a pic of a turbo setup my mates did for a customer a fair few years ago!
( It was in an orange 1000 coupe
with plates 10002C )

Standard fuel pump has a pressure of about 2.5 psi if you run this or more boost the engine won't get any fuel as boost pressure will be pushing it back to the fuel tank!

so which Elect. Fuel Pump do u guys recommend to swap my mechanical? i can get suzuki 1300's corolla 1600's, nissan 1400's!! can it be put instead of my mechanical or both have to b present so second works only under boost? or both at the same time with a regulator r a must? i say this because all above mentioned angines r carby setups not EFI.

Vacuum secondaries - a carbie with mechanical secondaries has only 1 vacuum line which goes to the distributor! if you have more than one vacuum line I am pretty sure you have vacuum secondaries!

then i have mechanical carby

Go the Datto said a turbo from a Jap wreckers - A Jap wreckers is a place that sells second hand parts off of Japanese vehicles! so he is saying get a turbo off of any Japanese vehicle!

he also mentioned Pulsar! what u meant here go-the-datto? BTW i know what he meant by jap wreck.

Also chokes are for pussies! lol! nah but really we took the chokes out as they looked to much like a restriction!....

what part is that bush in carb u talking about? top part, centre part or bottom side? clearify plz.
what metal can i use to make custom gaskets of all the carb?
if we remove choke would it make any holes to atmosphere in the carb or not?

You need to disconnect the mechanical fuel pump !( it's no good for this job!)
And you need to get a high pressure fuel pump off of an EFI car!

You also need a rising rate fuel regulator!
( I wouldnt know how you go about getting this where you are! Maybe try performance shops!) ( This regulator never came on any car from the factory!)

Go the Datto did say the pulsar that you described and there is also a hatchback pulsar that came with the same engine!

one more VERY important Q: -
does all OEM Turbos comes with some kind of Internal or External wastegates?
Do they all come with any type of BOV or not?

does pulsar Turbo have them, does Daihatsu Diesel T have them or not?

The pulsar comes with an internal wastegate!
Not sure about the diesel turbo!
( Your the diesel man mate!)

most Factory turbos come with internal wastgates but some do come with external!
( I think some 200SX's come with external wastegates!)

Regarding BOV's I am not sure I personally have never really bothered with a BOV as I dont really care for them!

Dont quote me on this but I dont think BOV's were factory equipment on many cars. Reason being (i think) is that they dont give a huge performance gain (more the thrill of the sound) and so car manufacturers decide to save some money and not make them OE.
