Hi All,
Just wondering what these bits need to be plumbed to or if they're needed if I don't want to run EGR?
Thanks I couldn't find anything in the workshop manual Chris uploaded.

I was wondering with the things highlighted in orange linking up to the throttle body what they're used for and the other items circled. The red circled bit seems a bit broken off.

Thanks for your help :)

Chris has not uploaded a workshop manual yet as far as I'm aware. He did the "Introduction of B310 GX-E model" which contains an overview of the EGI feature. See GX-E for a partial translation. Refer to the original PDF for the rest.

Thanks very much David. I couldn't find the vacuum ring thing with ins and outs and what that is used for..

Looking at the images you've translated (Thank you so much for doing that I don't know what we'd do without it)
I can see for this one the vacuum hoses for the throttle body are egr related and dizzy and so that metal ring I've highlighted in orange appears to provide ins/outs for egr related things and the fuel regulator.

Does that mean I could just plumb the outlet at the top that I've circled in orange to the fuel regulator and remove the rest of that ring all together and cap off the ends on the throttle body?

It looks like in this photo the guy was using the VVT tube for something and the canister tube for something? any ideas what they might be?

Thanks!

Dont need that vaccum rail tat was for emissions

Only vaccum port you need on the throttle body is for the dizzy as it is port vaccum
One circuled blue can be used for the brake booster

These are mostly vacuum taps (ports). Carbureted late Datsuns have all the same ones. They are for Brake Booster, EGR, Distributor Vacuum Advance, etc.

As with any gasoline engine, none of them are required. All you need is to plug the ports and remove all the hoses and hard lines. If you want vacuum advance, run a hose directly from the port to the distributor. No need to use the hard line assembly that is on there now. The Vacuum Advance port as usual is the one just under the throttle blade.

Yes, any throttle body should work, as the Hitachi EFI system uses an airflow meter to measure the air -- it will automatically adjust (tune itself).

If you really want to ID the hoses, page 45 of the PDF (intro to B310 GX-E) should help
