I've always wanted to retro fit my coupe with Excellent body work but it isn't that simple. I also wonder "what if" the USA received a L16 or L18 SSS powered 1200? Might have been the starter of the hot hatch.

It is as simple as hood, fenders and grille? The wheelbase is 20mm different, just enough to look right with increased caster.

US did get a 1200 with a 1600 engine. It didn't raise many eyebrows even though it was 102 hp.

Dave that's looking an awful lot like a Corolla........next you are going to tell me there were twin cam motors for those things.

As for the Excellent body work I thought the crossmember was also a bit further forward as well as the radiator core support and the frame rail section that runs under the radiator.
