There is a couple of people that are doing this as an Non turbo setup. I have ordered one of these injectors (Siemens Deka 80lb High Impedance FI114700) to use for the NA tune, so people have a tune file for a NA setup. These are very good injectors with a wide spray pattern and has multi hole discharge for good atomization.
It will be plenty large enough for NA and low boost turbo setups.

It will be important for people to use the same injector if they want the tune file to be close. I also have a large Bosch injector that I will retune for higher boost applications.

Would you mind explaining how the sprocket works with the hall sensor and why are you taking 1 tooth off?I would have thought that it would trigger every 3 teeth but this is all new stuff for me.

A hall sensor is like an electronic switch. It has 3 wires, power, earth and signal. As the metal tooth passes the target, the signal wire recieves the power, when the tooth disapears the signal voltage instantly drops to 0 volts. It happens in a square wave pattern as the teeth pass(UP, Across, Down, Across). The ECU is usually set up to trigger as the voltage falls to zero or below a pre determined volage. A Mag sensor on the other hand produces a sine wave, and the amplitude(hight of the wave,voltage) varies with speed.

Regarding the teeth on the trigger wheel, It needs to have a missing tooth so the ecu knows where cylinder number 1 is or at least where TDC is when running wasted spark.
If this distributor was still using the rotor button and cap to distribute the spark, we could use 4 teeth on a cam wheel or 2 on the crank you would not need a missing tooth. Every tooth would be a firing event.


If an engine is going to be sequential injection, you would either need a cam trigger with a missing tooth if only one input is used. When using a crank AND cam sensor the crank can have evenly spaced teeth as the cam sensor will let the ecu know when number 1 cyl is comming up.

And yes, it will trigger every third tooth. The missing tooth wont be one of the trigger teeth.

It sparks on the exhaust stroke. Essentially it fires on every tdc.
