The newer big injectors can operate well at very low pulse widths. This helps get a good idle. I've ordered a new 2200cc Bosch inj from ebay. Cost me $130 delivered. That's eating into the $1200 budget a bit, but I wanted to have headroom when using E85. One injector will flow enough for over 100Kw atw.

This with the right injector could be used on heaps of old carby cars.
Keen to see the tuning and also the timing setup etc simon.

I've just added some pics showing how to fit the standard carby cable linkage onto the Exel TB.
Hopefully tomorrow ill get some picks up of how to mount the injector, fuel rail and pressure reg. Im still waiting for the injector in the mail.

The Hyundai TB cost me $40. and pressure reg $15 from a local wreaking yard. those near a "pick a part" may get them cheaper.

I've put in the link as requested.. I am going to use the standard air cleaner assembly. I want a stockish look.

The Ford center point injection idea might work, but making an adaptor would be harder or the cost of buying one would add costs. Making a top hat to seal in boost would also be a lot harder.

Put a link of discussion thread in the build thread simon If possible.
Nice and cheap easy single point set up.
Don't ea falcons have single point that matches a 32/36 manifold adaptor too from memory?

With a stock carby filter top no one would know it's efi almost. I like a lot

OK... I'll try to do a bit of a build blog so others can copy if they want.

I'll start a new thread without comments or questions to keep it clean! Any Questions or suggestions, please post them here. I can edit the build thread as required.

Just remember this is a budget build to minimizes outlay and time involved to get a reasonable result...Hopefully!

Step One: building the EFI manifold

You will need:
-Throttle body from Hyundai Exel X3 SOC engine
-Standard A12 inlet manifold and Carb
-Fuel pressure regulator from (97 Toyota Corolla or 97 Mitubishi lancer)
-3-5 mm Ally plate to make adaptor.
-1 large fuel injector(1000cc for petrol or 1300+cc for E85)

So you doing a single intake TB? I was going ITB's but will hold off until I see how this goes.

Great thread and loved your Coupe thread too.

I have gathered so far for my setup and hope to stay along your guide.

250cc injectors-$50.00
TPS-$10.00
CAS-$80.00
