Why Cant i Access ... L16 link?
Why? WHY? Because ... "You group doesn't have permission to access this." -- whatever that means. I suspect "tbc" means "to be continued", in other words it's not ready yet. Scott ... !

How to fit L16, L18 and L20b engines - tbc

I am still waiting for my Alfa romeo Webers/Delortoes 36 (I posted something about it 2 months ago). But since they are for free i am still waiting.

I have already thinked about using 2 Hitachi carburetors too and I think that maybe I will give it a try since that is not to complicated to do.

As far as the horsepower question goes, it really doesn't matter. Nissan typically overrated most of their engines at that time, so you'll honestly never know until you build it and get it on a dyno. If you can find a twin carb SU set-up it will make a BIG improvement, not so much in horspower but in driveability and torque. SU's are about as close as you can get to EFI without EFI

I hate to pick nits, but they are probably 1.5" SU's. The 1.75" SU's were only used on the 2000 Roadster and 240Z. The dual carb 510's and 1200's used the smaller 1.5" carbs. HTH

It is amazing what kinda stuff is out there that many have not seen of heard of. I met a guy one day that had twin stock Hitachi carbs on his 1200. He had cut down two stock intake manifolds and made some linkage to suit. The carbs sat a little forward as both of the rear halves of the manifolds were used after cutting them in half and closing the hole. This car screamed away as he left, leaving me with the impression that his setup worked pretty well. It sure sounded good, sounded like a Weber when he hit the secondaries but throatier. Very cool sound coming from a 1200!
