The connector runs 4 wires to it 2 are blue and 2 are white with a blue strip and the relay it self is located between the volt reg and the horn relay

My impression is that is on old Datsun-era relay, not a CA18 era rely.
It looks similar to a automatic choke relay. Did late model utes in your country come with electric choke?

I have been trying to figure out for 3 days know, but all the diagrams I search don't seem to have the same colour wires into the relay, i have found similar looking relays. I have all my loom un wrapped and wanted to neaten it up abit so im just trying to figure out if removeing these wires for this and the voltage regulator will affect any other components of the ute. and its and Australian ute Im unsure of the auto choke or not, it sort of looks like a fuel pump relay too.also ive noticed it has a white and blue wire that links into the voltage regulator, vc cut relay is my best idea ? not even sure what that is tho

Me neither. Do you have the wiring diagram for a 1985 ute? It might be in Gregory's.
Auto choke relay is part of the alternator wiring. You don't need it for a CA18DE engine.

Well i removed it and the voltage reg and started the ute up and it starts fine and everything works only thing is new problem, wireing the alternator , I have a ca alternator and so I've ran the White and red power to the main power supply then the red and white wire to the bottom site as well as the White wire for main power only problem now is that the charge light stays on and my battery doesn't get above 11,85 on the multi meter, so I'm assuming my battery isn't chargeing " help ???

It is not charging. 13.5+ is charging voltage for lead-acid battery.
Which model of alternator does your CA use?
Generally most alternators need a Lamp wire connection.
