Is it complete with double valve springs and valves etc. or just a bare head?

All these cylinder heads tend to be a head only without valves but with guides and studs. I haven't seen an assembly for sale before as a new unit.

NOS head is a bare head, the only way Nissan sold it.

I would guess it's worth $600. The GX exhaust (used) was selling for that.

Wow that is a lot less than I thought it was worth and significantly less than what I had paid without looking at market price.

I have sold complete good condition cylinder heads before for 600 or more. Didn't realise a brand new one is worth less....

It's just a guess. Heads have been advertised for more, but I had not seen any reports of actual sales prices, I figured they did not sell.

Certainly a new GX head is worth more than a complete used head.

Maybe its because the others were complete? My guess is this one would be worth between $1000 and $1200 complete. It would cost about $300 for new valves and springs(using SH rockers, shaft and towers).

That would make it about $700 to $900 as is, at a guess if you want a reasonably quick sale.

With items like this, you need to find someone that really wants it to get top price. That person may only come along once every 12 months, but may be willing to pay $1500as is ???. Maybe put it on ebay, with a longer term view to sell?

I know I'd be happy with it!

I remember you getting one from Peter for 400usd plus post

http://datsun1200.com/modules/newbb/v ... id=291907#forumpost291907

Either way I believe 600-800 yet that price will increase
as time goes on as most A series heads are getting soft and
my 3 year ago prediction that A series of the big block and
big port variety will be getting thin on the ground is here.

You remember me getting one? I owned one once from the US which wasn't that one. It was sold to a member in Adelaide for $750.

Your prediction is more like stating the obvious: Things get rarer over time. Yes, they do.
