I was offered, a couple of months a go a centre console with a working VDO rev counter for NZ$100. Apparently it was out of a 1200 SSS, I still have the contact details of the guy, if anyone is interested email me and I'll get them for you.

I can't remember if it was exactly the same mounting points as the badge and I am not going searching through the garage just to be 100% but from memory and what I mean as by, the mounting points being there is that the brackets that hold the badge in has a few more holes which correctly fits and locates the clock into place.

Being this the tacho would easily be mounted into position also but I never did this as I would rather the tacho in my line of sight and then I could just look down to see the clock!

Not that I ever really used either but atleast they were there to look the part!

I have a feeling that it will be the same.
Both have wierd staggered mounting points.

I have a couple of consoles. I machined out the middle of an older one, and mounted a Boost guage in there for my CA ..

I dig what you are saying by the boost gauge in the actual dash facia!

On my 1000 I originally made a pulsar dashguages fit (I am dumb with models but its the same as your pulsar Dattodude)
I even mounted 2 small autometer boost and oil guages in the top corners behind the plastic so it looked original!
But nowdays my tastes have changed and I want the dash to look oldschool like the rest of the car. so I am going to weld up the dash and fit a set of autometer classics into it!
Just as long as I can get a boost guage made into the classic style!

But thats in the future when the body stops taking up my time!

Howdy all,

I added a pic of another console for 1200's in my photo album (1200driver). This was a dealer added option.

The console that has the the spot for a clock was also optional (factory) in the US. From what i can tell, the little one came in automatics here also, and in my 1200 parts catalog there is a part # for a manual shift boot to be used in it as well.
