My thoughts are don't go to modern for the wheels, but fill the wheel arches, like some 13x7's with 205/60/13's. Lower it slightly, to help the tyres fill the guards. A rear windscreen wiper from a 200B wagon wouldn't hurt, my old Sunny wagon didn't have one & really needed it. Heated rear window the same. As for the engine, what do you have just laying around. A15, L16, L18, or even Z18, make use of what you have. If you haven't got anything, use the old A12. Hopefully, it's got front discs, but hopefully you can come up with something interesting. Cheers , Paul.

Looking at some 14x7 starsharks for the wheel department. Interior will remain stock but new cacarpet and will get front seats trimmed as there abit sad. Driveline was will stay a12 for now with one of Simons efi kits later on would like to go a14/a15 or l series with quad bike throttles have still go the z18 turbo sedan so want this one to stay n/a.

Couple of interior shots are there any later seats that will bolt to the standard mounting locations I could use? The ones in it now have seen better days but not sure if I want the added expense of re trimming them.

Cool new project. I just got some for mustard coupe from autobarn at 207 each. Autotechnica. They sell em as 4x4 seat but they are same dimensions as the rest of the range. Check the website. They dont have harness seats or writing on them so they suit the classic look a fair bit better and they hug you a enough to suit some enthusiastic driving. Havent fitted yet but the Autotechnica mounting pattern always is very close to 1200 rails assuming 120y is same/similar
