Hey,

Thanks for the support - old skool engine stuff is all new to me!!

I did think 4AGE while debating the SR20 option when I found out about chopping the tunnel, but really want to keep it Nissan - Nissan, but on my wish list is a AE86 or more likely a SR coupé corolla so maybe in a few years! I am 99% sure I am staying A series engine and it looks like A14 turbo so should lay down 160-180hp!

Want to conserve money naturally but this Datsun is a keeper for life so happy to spend at the same time to make it right!

I will try to add some pictures soon.

Regards,

Dave

No need to chop the tunnel for SR20. It is a very right fit. But most guys cut the body to simplify the swap.

Really?!?!?!

You are the first person to say this, everyone else has said it has to be enlarged.

I am really sold on the turbo A14 now and it would be a pretty awesome engine build for sure!

A tuned ITB SR20 would be very cool and sound wonderful, but to keep it A series would be fabulous.

Dave.

Hello All,

Well I have been busy collecting bits and ordered my wheels from Japan - all very exciting.

I am doing a A14 turbo build (200hp) and hope to start it in a couple/three months.

A few questions for you wise people...

1 - What is the max HP a 63A dogleg 5speed will handle?

2 - What diff (or complete axle) shall I use in for the build?

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Dave

Thanks,

Is there a particular type of junior that is best suited and ratio?
