Anyone who has lowered there 1200 more than 2 inches in the rear i want your advice.

I have 2 inch blocks in the back of my 1200 ute and i wanted to go lower. At least another inch! i found 3inch lowering blocks for $300 inc postage but i didnt want to use blocks that big. Is there lowered leaf springs i can buy and install myself. i have been looking to get my set re done, but its becoming a rare thing? surely it can be that difficult.

This is what you get with 3" lowering blocks:

Instead, remove the blocks and have the springs reset by a truck spring company.

OR you can take the bottom heavy helper spring off ( too bouncy if your not loaded anyway), and flip the top longest spring over so the eyes are reversed.
You'll need to make up another spring retainer band and knotch out the front spring eye mount a little to take the now upside-down eye. The back will be ok.
Also need to shave your bumpstops down by half , into a point to gain a little travel back :)
This also looks better than your spring hanging down past the body line

You could try Lowering Springs, but it's cheaper to have a truck shop reset yours.

Those were the new $58 units here in USA, which aren't sold any longer.

Maddat and King sell similar. See Lowering Springs

Ok i have 2 options. So i thought i would share what i found here in case anyone else is looking at this also.

1200 ute springs to Reset Quoted $355p/pair + U bolts.

Or pre made Lowered MadDat Springs for 1200 ute @$500 pair + postage + U bolts.

I have been told the original springs when reset will sag after 12 months and can cause bad tramping. If anyone has had this done before and can comment on there experiences that would be great?

I put in reset leaf springs with 2" lowering blocks.
Running 14" wheels with 55 profile tyres.
The guard, viewed from the side, sits 15mm above the top of the tyre.
No probs with sagging or axle tramp.
The Maddat spring looks straighter than mine (lower)
Hope this helps
