On Xmas eve I bought a 2nd hand set of 13*7" Superlites Which meant I had to have a pretty quiet holiday, but it was worth it! They're really deep dish and look fantastic. The offset is -10 if that means anything to anyone.

Increase track by 4"! And the 205/60 race tyres sit much more 'squarely' on the wider wheels too, rather than 'bagging' the sidewalls.

Now I finally have a use for the flares that have been sitting in the shed! The wheels really fill them out too. I have basically finished fitting the front flares, they just need to be painted. God they look good! I'll try to get some pics over the weekend. Then I just have to get another pair of flares for the rear. And then I'll have to do something to make it go as fast as it looks!

nah, 2nd hand. I don't have any photos of my actual wheels yet, but I found that pic on the web so people would know what I was talking about. I paid pretty much top dollar for them $400, but they are in very good condition and only about 12 months old. Mine have white centres. I believe they are around $200 per wheel brand new.

I can see why you are excited, they look great, gotta love the dish..

I'm looking into getting some Japanese RS-Watanabe wheels, but they'd be 4 times as much. ~AU$800/wheel. I've found some 2nd hand at $500/set, but I'm awaiting the offset and width measurements.

I need 15inch wheels to fit over my brakes.

I like that style, definitely suits 1200/1600s.

Do you know, can you get Superlites in Magnesium? What do they weigh per wheel?

I can't wait to see the results on your car with the flares.

Chris.

yeah, love that deep dish look. those Watanabe wheels look good too - much better than the 15" version of the Superlite - they added an extra couple of spokes to the 15" and the flat centre bit is too big and they just kinda look wrong - out of proportion. The Wantanabes still look 'right'

The Superlites are only cast alloy, I doubt if they come in magnesium. They're really "Superlite" in name only. They weigh 5.5kg each, which I think is the same as the 13*6" Bathurst Globe wheels I used to use so that's not too bad. The 'minilites' I had on it recently were very old, high magnesium content alloy and weigh only 4.5kg ea

I'm painting the flares tomorrow (I think I still have some white paint left) and will take some photos after that.
